Carrying a warning triangle is compulsory in many European countries and also a reflective vest.

When you rent a car in one of these countries (France, Spain, Belgium, Italy,The Czech Republic and other countries), make sure that you are supplied with the appropriate safety equipment. A Warning Triangle must be carried in Russia -

In-car alcohol tester / alcohol breathalyser: From July 2012 it will be obligatory for all drivers in France to carry a breathalyser (éthylotest) in the glove box and not in the boot. Costs will be from around €2. If you are not carrying one you are liable to be fined €11.
